Job Description

Operations & Supply Chain Senior Associates / Associate Consultants drive our insights for clients. You will quickly take on significant responsibilities as you play a crucial role on each case team, gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing research and data to address the client’s core issues. Your ability to uncover novel information, conduct rigorous analysis, solve problems creatively, and communicate your high-quality work is critical to the breakthroughs that make a lasting impact for our clients. A collaborative mindset, positive outlook and a drive to learn and lead are key to success in this role.

While casework varies every day, Senior Associates’ / Associate Consultants’ primary responsibilities typically include:

  • Develop problem solving frameworks to solve operational issues.
  • Conduct analysis, benchmarking and research.
  • Own workstreams, synthesize data into actionable recommendations, and help shape client strategies on pressing business issues.
  • Coach and guide junior team members, helping build capabilities across the case team.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to present findings and recommendations to clients through compelling written and verbal communication.

As part of the role, you may be asked to travel to client sites. These opportunities allow for deeper client engagement, broader exposure, and meaningful contributions to our work. We ask that you remain flexible in supporting these travel needs as part of your professional experience at L.E.K

L.E.K. offers Senior Associates / Associate Consultants the broadest range of fast-paced, high-impact, and diverse cases for maximum learning. We are also committed to investing in your training and development and fostering excellent analytical and leadership skills to prepare you for your progression in tenure, as well as for potential future opportunities in top graduate schools or roles in industry, non-profits, start-ups, or investment firms.

In addition to very competitive compensation and benefits, we promote Senior Associates / Associate Consultants to Consultants and beyond, based on demonstrated performance.

WHY L.E.K.?

The O&P Senior Associate / Associate Consultant role at L.E.K. is differentiated from other firms in several key ways:

  • Immediate workstream responsibility: L.E.K. Senior Associates / Associate Consultants are expected to be integral members of the team from day 1, immediately driving mission-critical work to help solve critical challenges for our clients.
  • Breadth of experiences: While our projects span most industries and O&P services, our focus is operations and supply chain. • Fun, collaborative, stimulating work environment: L.E.K. teams spend substantially more time in their home office relative to teams at peer firms, and we pride ourselves on a vibrant social culture, including case team events, office parties, non-profit involvement, and much more. Operations & Supply Chain Senior Associates / Associate Consultants have a hybrid schedule, with time spent both in L.E.K. home office and at client sites.
  • International exposure: Approximately 65% of Senior Associates / Associate Consultants gain international exposure within their first 3 years, either through projects staffed across global offices, travel to international client locations, or, if they choose, by relocating to an international office on either a temporary or a full-time basis.
