Utility Supervisor / Technician

Location:

Cristal Plastic Industrial LLC, ICAD III, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

• Utility Systems Operation & Maintenance
• Monitor and maintain utilities: steam boilers, compressed air systems, chillers, water treatment, HVAC.
• Ensure peak operational efficiency and safety compliance.
• Preventive Maintenance
• Plan and execute preventive schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot system faults, conduct minor repairs.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Update maintenance logs using CMMS/SAP-PM.
• Ensure utilities comply with ISO, HACCP, FDA, and local health‑safety standards.
• Coordinate internal/external audits.
• Technical Support
• Provide utilities support during production ramp-ups, trials, technical issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize utility usage and reliability.
• Emergency Response
• Lead utility-system breakdown responses, diagnose, and resolve to resume operations.
• Coordinate with contractors for major repairs or shutdown maintenance.
• Health, Safety & Environmental
• Ensure safe operating practices, compliance with UAE regulations and company’s safety policies.
• Participate in risk assessments, safety drills, and permit-to-work systems.
• Team Supervision
• Supervise utility assistants/technicians: assign tasks, monitor performance, provide training.
• Continuous Improvement
• Suggest upgrades to systems for improved reliability or energy efficiency.
• Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives (e.g. water recycle, steam recovery).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial disciplines.
• 3–5 years in utilities maintenance in manufacturing (PET/plastics or F&B packaging preferred).
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with boilers, compressed air, water treatment, HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance (preferably SAP PM or similar CMMS).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC requirements.
• UAE permits: boiler, electrical, confined-space, hot work preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
