UX Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced UX Architect to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for leading user experience strategy, creating intuitive design solutions, and ensuring seamless interactions across digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user-centered design, be skilled in building user personas, and have expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design. Experience in the apparel retail industry is highly preferred, as this role will focus on designing experiences that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction within an eCommerce retail environment.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

UX Strategy & Research:

• Develop UX strategies that align with business objectives and user needs.

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights through analytics, interviews, and surveys to inform design decisions.

• Create and maintain personas, user journeys, and experience maps.
  

Information Architecture:

• Develop and maintain a structured, logical, and scalable information architecture.

• Organize content and functionality into intuitive navigation structures, ensuring clear and efficient interaction pathways.

• Work with content strategists to ensure that written content enhances the user experience and supports key design objectives

Interaction Design:

• Develop and maintain a scalable design system that supports consistency across various platforms and ensures alignment with the brand.

• Design wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and mockups to represent user flows and interactions.

• Create responsive, mobile-first design solutions that are adaptable across various devices.

• Ensure designs align with eCommerce best practices and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Visual Design & Prototyping:

• Collaborate with product teams to design and deliver intuitive interfaces.

• Develop high-fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision to communicate design concepts.

• Ensure consistency of design elements with brand guidelines and modern UI/UX principles.

• Focus on modern, simplistic UX design, reducing clutter while effectively communicating essential information.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution of design solutions.

• Present and justify design decisions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Competitive Analysis & Benchmarking:

• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify UX opportunities and inform design improvements

• Develop and optimize detailed user journey maps that identify potential gaps in the experience and propose solutions to address them

User Testing & Optimization:

• Conduct A/B testing, usability studies, and heuristic evaluations to continuously improve user experiences.

• Collect feedback from users and iterate on designs to ensure optimal functionality and satisfaction.

• Mobile App Design: Strong understanding of mobile app design principles, ensuring seamless experiences on mobile devices, with a clear understanding of the intricate differences between Mobile Web and Mobile Apps and provide distinct design approach that leverages native capabilities for optimal user experience.

• eCommerce Design: Experience in designing eCommerce platforms, focusing on user journeys that drive engagement and conversions.

• High-Fidelity Comps & Prototypes: Ability to create high-quality design comps and working prototypes that accurately represent final user experiences.

• Subtle Animations: Ability to incorporate subtle animations to enhance the user experience, making interactions feel more engaging and intuitive.

• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design ideas, present solutions, and engage with stakeholders effectively.

• Agile Methodology: Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to iterative cycles of design and development.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field.

• 8+ years of experience in UX architecture or UX design roles.

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch or similar.

• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS; ability to collaborate with front-end developers.

• Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles and mobile-first design.

• Experience in conducting and interpreting user research and usability testing.

• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.

• Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to assess UX performance.

• Portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects and detailing your design process and outcomes.

• Partner with various cross functional teams to understand the business objectives and the KPIs to improve and drive design decisions

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, ReactNative.

• Experience with motion design and animations.

• Ability to mentor junior designers or lead design teams.

• Experience in creating simplified, modern UX designs that balance aesthetics with clarity and effectiveness.

• Analyze the user testing findings and usability heuristics to guide the design process
