MishiPay is an international, leading checkout technology company that empowers shoppers to checkout instore using either self-checkout via their own smartphones, or using MishiPay's industry leading, minimalist, low cap-ex kiosks. We are creating an enjoyable and convenient in-store shopping experience for leading retailers globally.

MishiPay now also runs Mobile POS, Click and Collect and Cash registers, so that merchants, who initially start with our self-checkout, can eventually run their whole store checkout process on MishiPay. With our technology, global retailers have proven reductions in cost, due to requiring fewer cashiers, a marked increase in sales due to improved basket sizes, higher frequency of shopper visits and reduction in abandoned baskets, and in addition, all our retailers can access rich and priceless data about their customers. This enables a much better understanding of the customer journey in their bricks and mortar stores.

We’re looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our talented team. You’ll have at least four years of hands-on mobile UI/UX design experience within a fast-paced ecommerce or retail environment, delivering high-quality, customer-facing apps used at scale. You’ll be used to meeting with and working with large corporate clients to craft intuitive, beautiful user journeys that delight and convert.

The UX/UI Designer will own the design execution of the product vision for the MishiPay Application with our live deployments across Europe, US, Canada, Australia and Middle East. You will be the voice of design in the company and ensure style/aesthetics are kept to a high standard throughout. The role will work closely with our Chief Product Officer to ensure a smooth user experience throughout the user journey.

Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners.

Collaborating with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.

Create wireframes, high level and low-level mockups to effectively test and implement design ideas on Figma

Gather feedback from product users

4+ years of hands-on mobile UI/UX design experience within a fast-paced ecommerce or retail environment, delivering high-quality, customer-facing apps used at scale.

Proven expertise in designing for native Android (Material Design, adaptive layouts, accessibility standards) with a strong understanding of iOS and responsive web app design principles.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex retail user journeys — from product discovery to checkout — into intuitive, high-converting mobile experiences.

Expert in Figma, including advanced component creation, auto-layouts, variants, and design systems — ensuring scalability and consistency across multiple platforms.

Experience working in a component- and library-based design framework, collaborating closely with developers to maintain design integrity across Android and other touchpoints.

Excellent communication and presentation skills and used to meeting with customers, with the confidence to explain design rationale and technical details to cross-functional stakeholders (product, engineering, and commercial teams).
