UX/UI Designer

ROLE OVERVIEW

Kifayat Publishers is expanding into digital education platforms and is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to design intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for web and mobile educational products. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design for web applications, e-learning platforms, or digital publishing solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design user-centred interfaces for Kifayat's digital platforms, e-book readers, and online education portals.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma or Adobe XD.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design system, style guide, and component library.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Design mobile-responsive layouts for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Create engaging visual assets for digital marketing including banners, social media creatives, and email templates.
• Work with the Academic team to translate complex educational content into clear, engaging digital experiences.
• Continuously benchmark against best-in-class educational platforms and propose UX improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma is essential; Adobe XD or Sketch experience is a plus.
• Understanding of responsive web design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and mobile-first principles.
• Experience designing for ed-tech, e-learning, or content-heavy platforms is strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is an advantage but not mandatory.

• Exceptional visual design and typography skills.
• Strong understanding of UX principles: information architecture, user flows, and wireframing.
• Ability to think from the user's perspective and translate needs into elegant design solutions.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work across teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design projects (must be submitted with application).
• A portfolio link (Behance, Dribbble, or personal website) is mandatory. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
