About the Role

We are seeking a creative and user-centred UX/UI Designer to lead the design of intuitive, accessible, and mobile-first digital experiences for small business and financial inclusion platforms. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a national-level research and design initiative focused on simplifying digital onboarding for underserved user segments across Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct user research, journey mapping, and usability testing with small and informal business users across urban and rural areas.

Translate insights into inclusive, mobile-first interface designs that improve accessibility, trust, and ease of use.

Benchmark regional and global UX/UI best practices in financial technology and service platforms.

Design annotated wireframes, clickable prototypes, and onboarding flows optimised for low-literacy and low-connectivity environments.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers, policy experts, and product teams to ensure human-centred design principles guide all deliverables.

Present and refine design recommendations based on user feedback and field testing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related discipline.

3–5 years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably for fintech, social innovation, or public service platforms.

Proven ability to conduct user research and translate findings into functional, inclusive designs.

Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for wireframing and prototyping.

Strong understanding of human-centred design and accessibility for low-literacy, mobile-first audiences.

Experience creating design systems or visual guidelines that can be scaled across partners or institutions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Desirable

Experience designing for digital financial services, e-commerce, or merchant-facing applications.

Familiarity with usability testing in multilingual or resource-constrained environments.

Understanding of behavioural design and information architecture principles.

What We Offer

Competitive consultancy-based compensation.

Flexible working arrangements with hybrid or remote options.

Opportunity to shape national-level digital design standards through applied research.

A collaborative, mission-driven environment promoting ethical innovation and inclusion.
