Position Summary:
Directly support the Orlando Health Network’s population health activities in various value-based care arrangements, including Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and other alternative payment models, assisting with program analytics and project management. Supports data storytelling through impactful dashboards and reporting solutions. Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills to deliver complex concepts in an easily understandable and visually appealing manner.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:- Stays current on national and local healthcare trends and maintains working knowledge of healthcare systems, physician integration, insurance products, regulatory/legislative policy, market research data and healthcare data.
- Identifies and documents stakeholder/business requirements necessary to support business operations activities, and assists with approved initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities.
- Serves as project management support and tracks all assigned Orlando Health Network initiatives.
- Coordinates meetings, prepares meeting agendas, and manages all meeting materials as necessary.
- Facilitates multidisciplinary discussionsto effectuate system change, processimprovement and provider engagement.
- Provides assistance to operational leaders to support data review, market analysis, program growth, and provider relationship activities.
- Works collaboratively with otherteammembers on the execution of projects that support strategic priorities.
- Identifies processimprovement opportunities through report analysisto achieve the Quadruple Aim.
- Analyzes performance reports and data to inform decision-making, process, and program implementation.
- Tests and refines workflows to supportsustainable operational functionsfor the department.
- Assists in maintaining and managing relationships with current population health technology vendors by tracking and measuring whether technology partner was able to deliver value and results, and by tracking key contractual milestones.
- Understands data storage and data sharing methods, investigates data to determine patterns and trends, leverages different data sources for analyses, and develops reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Provides ongoing analytical support towards Commercial and Federal ACO and Bundle programs not limited to dashboard and report development tracking cost/utilization trends, clinical trends, quality performance, and provider performance.
- Uses business tools to transform data for use in analysis.
- Creates, maintains and updates dashboards and documentation, as required.
- Extracts raw data, structured and unstructured, from enterprise systems and other sources and performs data engineering and curation to facilitate analysis.
- Utilizes experience working with front-end query tools and other data warehouse software.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret results of query analysis.
- Maintains strong experience in using a wide range of interpretive analysis tools (e.g. trend analysis, spreadsheets, comparisons, graphs, summary versus detail charts, drill-down, correlations, and exception analysis)
- Continuously monitors data quality across EDP and payor files to identify and resolve inconsistencies or discrepancies.
- Possesses the ability to apply data principles to business solutions.
- Utilizes the Microsoft Office software suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) at a high level of proficiency.
- Develops and maintains strong organizational knowledge (e.g., information systems, human resources, finance, facility management, materials management, marketing,risk management, legal, corporate compliance, quality, etc.).
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions:- Works comfortably in teams as a participant and facilitator, including temporary teams for project-based initiatives.
- Works effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT and business teams, to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Participatesin professional healthcare and community associationsto keep abreast of current healthcare trends.
- Communicates effectively through all forms of media, uses active listening and communications skills, and leverages these presentation skills to engage, inspire, and establish credibility with provider partners.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Sciences, or other directly related work experience required.
Intermediate knowledge of Epic Cogito, Data Bricks, Power BI, SQL, and Excel formulas required
Licensure/Certification:
None.
Experience:
One (1) year of professional experience required. Completion of an Administrative Internship program in a hospital, physician group,
or healthcare setting may substitute for the one (1) year of required work experience.
