What you’ll do at Ather:

We don't design just products, rather we design and develop "Product Experience" for which we have to design non-conventional Platforms. One such experience we work on and boast about is Robust Handling and Comfort performance of our vehicles. Vehicle dynamics simulations play a very important role behind quickly delivering Handling and Comfort targets. We are looking for a Vehicle Dynamics & Multibody Simulation Engineer who is a great enthusiast and engineer for two wheeler vehicle dynamics, can relate the VD theory with test objective data and subjective assessment and utilize the simulations tools to apply the knowledge in a day to day engineering job to deliver nothing but the best of handling and comfort from our platforms. As our VD & MB Simulation Engineer, you’ll :-

  • Develop 2- wheeler Vehicle Dynamics Simulation capabilities & correlation with test data
  • Decide critical Vehicle architectural inputs on the basis on Dynamics Simulation
  • Decide Suspension characteristics for optimal Ride Comfort and Durability through Simulations.
  • Develop control strategies pertaining to vehicle dynamics, including suspension, braking, and stability control systems.
  • Simulate various multibody mechanisms to avoid design failures.
  • Generate load from Virtual Dynamics Model for Durability and NVH purpose e.g. Transient simulations of Drive trains/Transmissions in Multi body solvers using Flexible and Rigid bodies.
  • Work on Tire Modeling and Virtual Proving Grounds in simulation models
  • Perform DOEs and Optimizations for Vehicle Dynamics and Multi-body simulation problems
  • Utilize Dynamics knowledge to support in Durability & Vibration CAE & Validation

Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Worked with Testing for Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Correlation.
  • Experience on design aspects of multi-body mechanisms.
  • Strong understanding and experience on Vehicle Dynamics software Motorcycle VI Grade/BikeSim.
  • Strong understanding and experience on Multibody tools and solvers like MotionView, MotionSolve, Adams
  • Strong understanding of use of Flexible bodies in Multibody simulations
  • Knowledge and Experience in Tire modeling and software like Cosin F- TIre/CD Tire/MF Tire
  • Knowledge of DOE & Optimization techniques for Vehicle Dynamics improvement through tools like HyperStudy,
  • Understanding on Control System, and good hands on experience on Matlab & Simulink for co-simulation with MBS.
  • FEA skills and understanding of Fatigue & Vibration will be an added advantage
  • Enough hands on experience in Altair Hypermesh, HyperGraph etc. to support Dynamics related work

You bring to Ather:

  • B.E/M.Tech/M.S. with Majors in Vehicle Dynamics, VD & Controls, Mechanical engineering or any other relevant stream.
  • Vehicle Dynamics CAE expertise with minimum 3-7 years of experience in an automotive company

you’ll be collaborating with:

Mechanical, Electrical, Power Electronics Design Teams, Testing Team, different Simulation CoC divisions and Project/Program Managers
