Position Summary:
The Vendor Relationship Manager will successfully onboard new vendor partners, build trustworthy relationships, and manage those partners to benefit our mutual clients. It will be essential to be prompt and detail-oriented when solving any vendor issues while effectively communicating workflow processes and policies with vendors. Possessing excellent knowledge of healthcare, the advocacy industry, and/or the TPA or PBM space is an added advantage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with vendors.
· Communicate SHARx role in the employer benefits suite, and support workflow necessary for a successful partnership, along with vendor responsibilities and obligations.
· Obtain and confirm buy-in from prospective and new TPA / PBM & associated vendor partners.
· Establish vendor performance standards, design business guidelines for vendors & suggest improvements.
· Understand the business requirements for various projects, ability to develop effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for the projects and clients.
· Coordinate with all internal departments (Sales, Account Management, Finance, Implementations, Advocacy) and external vendors regarding services functions to support the overall delivery of advocacy, including but not limited to sourcing obstacles related to vendor workflow, pharmacy cost savings, and quality improvement initiatives, especially concerning the ongoing competitive nature of SHARx.
· Manage partner expectations, problem-solve issues or obstacles, act as the point of contact for escalations, provide reporting, and act as an intermediary between vendors and stakeholders.
· Promote a culture of seamless operational workflow of PBM & TPA delegated functions. Support an escalation channel to the vendor to ensure the workflow.
· Oversee and manage audits of vendor services provided to clients of SHARx as appropriate.
· Maintain vendor documents to reflect vendor partnership status, strengths, & obstacles.
· Regularly provide updates to internal teams regarding vendor status changes
· Develop, maintain, and adjust procedure documents as necessary
Position Requirements:
· Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
· 2 or more years of vendor management, project management and/or implementation management experience.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills along with an eye for detail
· Ability to resolve promptly and escalate related issues
· Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information.
· Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time to consistently meet deadlines.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Primarily Microsoft Excel.
· Ability to provide new ideas and establish new processes when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree.
· 2 or more years of healthcare industry experience.
· Network contracting and/or provider contracting.
