Location: Ventura, CA (near HWY 126 & Telegraph Rd.)

A warm and welcoming Ventura family is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their two children, ages almost 2 and 4. The schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM–4:00 PM, with 32 guaranteed hours per week. The position offers $25/hour. An older, friendly dog is in the home, so applicants must be comfortable with pets. The role is available as soon as the right candidate is found.Both parents work in and out of the home on varying days. Their son attends part-time school, so care will include both one-on-one and two-child supervision throughout the week.

Ideal CandidateThe family is looking for a dependable, engaging, and professional nanny who:Has a kind, patient demeanor and genuinely enjoys working with young childrenBrings creativity to daily activities (outdoor play, crafts, music, imaginative play, etc.)Has experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged childrenIs punctual and reliable — timeliness is essentialTakes initiative and is proactive, especially during nap timesMaintains professionalism in the home, including limited phone use during working hours

Responsibilities

Provide attentive supervision and ensure the children’s safety at all timesPlan engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and developmentPrepare children’s meals and snacks and needed. Family meal preps, so it’s primarily reheating items in fridge Maintain established routines, including naps and limited screen time (up to 1 hour/day)Perform light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, dishes)Let the dog out as needed and assist with loading/unloading the dishwasher.The family is seeking a nanny who is an active partner in the children’s growth — someone who encourages curiosity, outdoor exploration, and joyful, structured days.
