Seeking Community & Private Events Coordinator Intern for New and Fast Growing Restaurant, Bar & Event Space

About Social Hall:
Social Hall is a lively and dynamic restaurant, venue, and bar known for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and exciting events. From holiday events to private parties and community gatherings, we are the go-to spot for locals looking to dine, drink, and celebrate. Our team is passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests, and we are looking for an enthusiastic intern to help us take our marketing and events to the next level.

We are a local, family-owned business and work together as a team. The ideal candidate isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and do what needs to be done to ensure things are running smoothly.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Community & Private Events Intern to assist our team with promoting Social Hall and its community & private events. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in event planning, social media marketing, and brand promotion. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating community focused and private events
  • Support the development of marketing campaigns to promote events, food, and drink specials
  • Manage and update Social Hall’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), including creating engaging content (photos, videos, stories)
  • Help with email marketing campaigns, including writing and scheduling newsletters and promotional emails
  • Assist with flyer/poster design and distribution both online and in the local community
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics (social media engagement, event attendance, etc.) and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with the events team on the day of events to ensure smooth execution
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new event ideas and marketing strategies
  • Other tasks as needed by the company

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus
  • Creative, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, with availability on nights and weekends for events
