Job Title: Vessel Designer & Estimator
Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually DOE
Location: Ideal locations include; Houston, TX region; Ft. Worth, TX region; Maryland region; Bakersfield, CA. Remote is acceptable

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafter/Estimator with expertise in ASME pressure vessel design and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing ASME Section VIII and IX code calculations, developing cost estimates, and creating general arrangement (GA) and shop fabrication drawings. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of pressure vessel standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ASME Code Calculations: Perform design calculations in compliance with ASME Section VIII and IX to determine appropriate materials, thicknesses, and configurations for pressure vessels.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for pressure vessel projects, including materials, labor, and fabrication processes. Utilize historical data and current market trends to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Drafting and Design: Create precise GA and shop drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and project specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective. Participate in project meetings to discuss design and estimation aspects.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of calculations, estimates, and drawings. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for project stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and verify that all designs and estimates comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
