We are seeking part-time and/or full-time experienced veterinary assistant(s) for our privately-owned small animal practice in Tacoma, WA.
Button Veterinary Hospital is a well-established (est. 1920!), full-service, 4 FTE doctor small animal practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We offer appointments for preventive care, medical cases, acupuncture, surgery, dentistry and urgent care. Because of our longevity, we have treated pets for 4 and 5 generations of families in the South Puget Sound! We provide care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets.
Button Veterinary has an excellent reputation in the community for providing quality veterinary care to our patients and personal service to our clients. We value our clients and their pets as family and expect our staff to bear that in mind in everything we do. We strive to offer the best client experience and work to minimize our patient’s stress during their interactions with us.
Our goal is to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and full-service veterinary health care. Our team is compassionate, ethical, and honest and we understand the deep importance of the human-animal bond. We work daily to provide progressive, high-standard medicine while accommodating the different needs/resources of our clients.
Our current open hours are Monday-Friday, 8-6, but those hours may change based on our client’s needs. We understand the importance of a work/life balance so we try to schedule staff and appointments so that staff is able leave within 0-15 minutes of their scheduled time off, although occasionally there is an exception due to the nature of the business.
We relocated to our current facility in January 2024 and have 2 surgical suites, a dental suite with a 2-patient capacity, a dedicated surgical prep area, as well as a new Class IV laser, an ultrasound, digital radiology and digital dental radiology.
