OC Pets Veterinary Clinic LLC is seeking a responsible and dedicated Pet Handler to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be attentive, compassionate, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Position Overview

The Pet Handler will be responsible for animal handling and restraint, maintaining kennel hygiene, supporting veterinarians and nurses during consultations, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely restrain dogs and cats during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and animal housing areas following established infection-control protocols.
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses in consultation rooms as needed.
  • Walk, feed, and monitor animals, noting behavior, appetite, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in clinical spaces, treatment rooms, and common areas.
  • Support with bathing and basic grooming tasks when required.
  • Assist with preparing equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring consultation rooms are ready for use.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of disinfectants and biohazardous waste.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to all animals in the clinic.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic is preferred.
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes safely and confidently.
  • Understanding of basic cleaning and disinfection protocols.
  • Good physical condition; able to lift moderately heavy animals and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with low-stress handling techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and body language.
  • Experience assisting in veterinary consultations or treatments.
  • Willingness to learn and follow clinic processes consistently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
