Position Overview:

Noble Veterinary Clinic is seeking a skilled and passionate Avian Specialist Veterinarian to join our esteemed team. As an Avian Specialist Veterinarian, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive veterinary care to our patients, offering a range of medical services from routine check-ups to diagnostic procedures and minor surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Avians and a genuine love for birds, coupled with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for a wide variety of avian species.

- Develop and implement treatment plans for sick or injured birds, including surgery and post-operative care.

- Administer vaccinations, medications, and other preventive care measures.

- Perform and interpret laboratory tests, radiographs, and other diagnostic procedures.

- Conduct avian surgical procedures, including emergency surgeries, with precision and care.

- Ensure adherence to the highest standards of surgical practice and patient safety.

- Provide detailed post-surgical care and follow-up.

- Communicate effectively with pet owners about diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care.

- Educate clients on avian nutrition, behaviour, and proper care practices.

- Provide empathetic support and clear instructions for home care and follow-up visits.

- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.

- Ensure compliance with all veterinary regulations and standards.

- Keep up-to-date with advancements in avian medicine and veterinary practices.

- Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other staff members.

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.

- With Equivalency letter or valid MOCCAE License.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Avians.

- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and performing routine surgeries.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

- Fluency in English.

- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of veterinary care and client service.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Passion for birds and a dedication to promoting their health and well-being.
