Veterinary Receptionist

Dogwood Veterinary Clinic is in search of a full time receptionist. Receptionists will be an important link between the community and our practice. We want clients to be greeted by a smiling face, someone who makes them feel comfortable and at-home with us. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, remains calm when faced with multiple tasks, has a strong work ethic, communication skills and is willing to build relationships with clients and team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients upon arrival to the hospital
• Gather client's information and enter it into the computer
• Put clients in an exam room at their appointment time
• Answer phone calls and answer frequently asked veterinary questions
• Schedule appointments
• Receive payments
• Call owners with updates on hospitalized patients
• Call owners after discharge to check on patients
• Relay medical questions and medication requests to veterinary technicians
• Manage reminders to clients regarding appointments, vaccinations and testing coming due
• Work with our hospital app to manage reward system, appt requests, record requests and medication requests.
• Check receptionist email account
• Check for communication through veterinary app
• Check for messages through facebook account
• manage online medication and food requests
• Help clean clinic

• Computer skills and ability to type quickly

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
