Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary
Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your energetic and positive attitude will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure a smooth flow of communication between clients and veterinary staff. Duties

  • Greet clients and visitors warmly, establishing a friendly and professional atmosphere
  • Schedule appointments, answer phone inquiries, and manage client communications efficiently
  • Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle insurance documentation with accuracy
  • Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and assist with data entry
  • Coordinate laboratory tests, medication refills, and follow-up appointments as directed by veterinary staff
  • Support veterinary team with animal handling tasks such as restraint during examinations or treatments
  • Manage inventory of pet supplies, medications, and office materials to ensure smooth clinic operations

Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous experience as a veterinary reception required
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and pet care practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
  • Ability to obtain medical record and log accurately
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures, aseptic techniques, and basic animal husbandry is advantageous
  • Experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners alike

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
