Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This position requires 1 year of veterinary hospital experience answering phones, making appointments, and managing medical records. Our team works together to serve a variety of pets including some exotics. We are looking for a team member who is a strong communicator, kind to both people and their pets and preferably has experience with EzyVet. Compassion and a sense of humor are musts!

Responsibilities

  • Phone communication: answering calls, taking accurate messages, conveying information to clients, making appointments
  • Documentation of calls and maintaining accurate medical records through the EzyVet system.
  • Checking in/out patients for appointments.
  • Communication with other animal hospitals and boarding facilities.
  • Organizing and sending referrals to specialists.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in working area.

Qualifications

  • Conversant with veterinary terms and vocabulary, able to communicate with clients and veterinary professionals.
  • At least one year of experience working in an animal hospital.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate care for animals and courtesy to their families.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
