Veterinary Receptionist (Part Time w potential for more hours)

For 34 years Varina Veterinary Clinic has been proud to care for the pets and families of our community - and we've built something pretty special along the way! Our team is made up of dedicated people who care about each other, our clients and the patients we serve. In fact nearly half of our team has been here for more than 10 years! We are now seeking a compassionate, organized and customer focused Customer Service representative (CSR) to join us!

Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20-30 hours per week. We are open from 7:30 AM - 6 PM Monday through Friday and we are closed on weekends and major holidays.

As the first point of contact for our clients and patients, you play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience. Our ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional client service.

What You'll Do

• Greet clients and patients warmly, both in person and over the phone
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment calendar
• Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone, email, and text
• Check clients in and out efficiently while processing payments accurately
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records within the practice management system
• Provide information about hospital products, services, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to ensure seamless communication and outstanding patient care
• Assist in resolving client concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Support daily front desk operations and help maintain a clean, organized reception area

What We're Looking For

• Previous customer service or veterinary experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn veterinary software systems
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
• Passion for providing exceptional client service and compassionate care for pets and their families
