Veterinary Receptionist/Technician's Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support. Your knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal care will be essential in assisting pet owners with their inquiries and ensuring their needs are met effectively. Willing to train the right person!

Duties

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, text, and in-person with professionalism and empathy.
• Provide information about services, products, and policies related to pet care and veterinary services.
• Assist clients in scheduling appointments and managing their accounts.
• Handle medical collection processes with sensitivity and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to relay important information regarding animal care and treatment.
• Educate pet owners on basic animal anatomy, handling techniques, and training methods.
• Address concerns or complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
• Assisting the veterinarian and veterinary technician during examinations, diagnostics, and treatments

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or a veterinary field is preferred.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and care practices is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and compassionately.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
• A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
• Ability to safetly handle and restrain dogs and cats
• Ability to lift 40 lbs, sit, stand, kneel, and squat for short periods of time
• Willing to train the right person!

Hours

• Tuesdays-Fridays 1pm-5:30pm
• Sundays- 1-2 hour shift between 8am and 6pm to care of clinic animals
• Occasionally will have reduced number of hours depending on veterinarian's schedule
