Job Title: Vice President – Business Operations (Residential)

Location: Pune (Pune based candidate’s preferable)

Experience Required: 15+ Years

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Business Operations will be responsible for leading and managing all operational aspects of the residential business to ensure seamless execution, profitability, and strategic growth. This senior leadership role will focus on driving operational excellence, enhancing customer satisfaction, optimizing systems and processes, and delivering key financial outcomes like ROS, PAT, and IRR as per company expectations. The VP will work cross-functionally with departments including Sales, Marketing, Construction, Finance, and Customer Service to align operations with the company's overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's long-term vision and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and drive strategic priorities for the residential business.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead day-to-day operations across residential development, construction, or property management (based on business model).
  • Drive cost optimization, process efficiency, and timely execution of deliverables.
  • Ensure project execution meets timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across operations, project management, logistics, and customer service functions.
  • Build a culture of accountability, performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Performance Management

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational effectiveness.
  • Implement robust reporting tools, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
  • Regularly review performance metrics and identify areas for process improvement.

Customer Experience

  • Champion excellence in customer service across all residential touchpoints.
  • Resolve escalated issues and implement feedback systems to enhance customer satisfaction.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety protocols.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate operational and execution risks.

Technology & Systems

  • Evaluate and deploy technology platforms (ERP, CRM, Project Management tools) to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to support operations.

Deliverables:

  • Achievement of Revenue, Operating Surplus (ROS), Profit After Tax (PAT), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) targets.
  • On-time, on-budget project delivery.
  • Continuous improvement in operational KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Construction, Real Estate, or related field; MBA/Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in residential real estate, construction, or property operations.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and multi-site or high-value projects.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to drive P&L performance.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, CRM software, and performance dashboards.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
