Job Description:
Key responsibilities: As a VP Data Science, you will play a critical role in our data-driven decision-making process and be deeply connected into projects with multi market impact. You’ll be responsible for working closely with senior product, business and strategy leaders in building data science-first platforms, products and communities. Responsibilities:
Advanced Analytics and Modeling, Generative AI and NLP:
o Develop and implement sophisticated statistical and machine learning algorithms including regression, classification, recommendation, natural language processing and computer vision models.
o Closely work with Product and Business leaders to develop models and products using custom deep learning implemented with architectures like RNNs, CNNs, transformers.
    • Develop, train, and deploy classical ML models for regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting.
    • Apply feature engineering techniques to ensure high model quality.
    • Build recommendation and optimization systems to enhance advertising performance (CPA, ROI, conversion rates).
    • Use statistical modelling and causal inference for experimental design and impact measurement.
    • Build LLM-powered systems using GPT, AWS Titan, Gemini, and BERT for semantic search, text classification, summarization, and conversational chatbots.
    • Implement object detection and OCR pipelines using ResNet, VGG, and CNNs for creative performance evaluation and audience attention measurement.
    • Build multimodal models combining image and text embeddings for ad performance prediction and content analysis.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to liaise for business requirements, organize and attend and lead Data Science informal and formal sessions
    • Lead on given tasks in end-to-end data science projects, from problem formulation to model deployment.
    • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with technical teams, business analysts to build data initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years in data science, machine learning, or related roles.
    • Knowledge of media buying, advertising, digital marketing, programmatic buying, DSP’s, Meta Facebook Business Manager, TikTok campaign activation, is a strong good to have.
    • Familiarity with media planning and buying references and metrics will be preferred
    • Strong verbal, written communication skills and previous experience in senior stakeholder management is a plus
    • Technical Skills:
      • Strong Proficiency in Python, or similar programming languages and efficient API development.
      • Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques (Regression, Classification, Clustering, Forecasting, Feature Engineering, Optimization, Recommendations, Computer Vision.).
      • Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and data visualization software such as PowerBI, Tableau, Plotly, Advanced Excel
      • Good knowledge of data engineering methods and techniques including BigQuery, Snowflake, Data Lake design principles
      • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and CI/CD pipelines, software IDE’s, repo management
      • Good knowledge of Technical project management especially working with data scientists, engineers, product managers
