About the Opportunity
We have been retained by a growing, private equity–backed manufacturing company seeking a hands-on, strategic HR leader to partner with both corporate leadership and plant operations. This high-impact opportunity will report to the CEO and lead a HR team of 4. The VP of HR will be responsible for shaping HR strategy, developing scalable systems, and building workforce capabilities that support operational excellence and long-term growth.
***MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL 60% TO PLANT LOCATIONS***
Key Responsibilities:

Lead recruiting across corporate and plant locations, with focus on high-volume hourly and leadership hiring.

Partner with Operations and Finance on proactive workforce plans aligned with growth and production needs.

Build scalable recruitment processes and strengthen local community partnerships to create sustainable talent pipelines.

Design incentive and recognition programs that drive retention and engagement.

Align HR strategy with business and PE growth objectives.

Partner with leadership to influence workforce, culture, and organizational design decisions.

Support integration, change management, and cultural alignment during growth and transformation.

Collaborate with local and plant leaders to strengthen the employer brand and reputation.

Champion communication, recognition, and leadership programs that drive engagement and retention.

Review and update handbooks, policies, and PTO structures for compliance and competitiveness.

Ensure compliance with employment laws across multi-state operations.

Build and implement a performance management process that promotes accountability and clear communication.

Deliver training for operations leaders on HR best practices, performance, and talent development.

Lead HRIS training and adoption to ensure consistency and data integrity.

Implement scalable HR processes and systems to support ongoing expansion.
Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive HR leadership, ideally in multi-site manufacturing.

Experience developing recruiting strategies for large hourly workforces, including community outreach initiatives.

Proven success in building and scaling HR processes, systems, and policies to support growth.

Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and talent management best practices.

Relationship-driven leader with credibility from the plant floor to the C-suite.

Hands-on, pragmatic, and energized by fast-paced, transformation-focused environments.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
