Vice President of Human Resources

Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer


Salary Range

$140,000 – $160,000 annually (base salary) , based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

Bonus Eligibility: None

Position Overview

We are partnering with a mission-driven, multi-site organization to identify a Vice President of Human Resources to lead enterprise-wide human capital strategy. This executive role is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening organizational culture, and aligning people initiatives with strategic business objectives.

The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership and play a critical role in positioning the organization as an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy development
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational planning, workforce strategy, diversity initiatives, and employee engagement
  • Provide guidance to leadership on employee relations matters, including coaching, corrective action, and terminations
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring practices, and onboarding processes
  • Develop and implement HR systems, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and monitor key HR performance metrics to assess organizational effectiveness and competitiveness
  • Lead change management initiatives across a complex, multi-location environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7–10 years of progressive human resources leadership experience, including strategic HR and talent management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex, multi-site organizations
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience supporting government-funded or highly regulated programs preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred

  • Paid Holidays: 11 paid administrative holidays per year
  • Wellness Day: 8 hours annually (use it or lose it)
  • Summer Days: 3 paid days annually (one day each in July, August, and September)


Work Environment

This role operates within a professional office and clinical-support environment and may include exposure to conditions typical of healthcare or human services settings. Occasional travel between locations may be required.
