We are currently seeking a VP, Marketing to join our team.

The VP, Marketing works cross functional with leaders of MDaudit in driving the company’s next phase of growth. This leader will own all aspects of marketing including target market segmentation and prioritization, matching new product functionality with the optimal target market sub-segments, executing precisely targeted demand generation / performance marketing initiatives as the functionality evolves, ongoing brand evolution, creative, events, marketing operations, data analytics to support marketing optimization, PR, and sales enablement. S/he partners with senior leadership to develop strategic marketing plans, execute the marketing strategy, lead the team, and institute operational excellence across the marketing organization.

Requirements:

Strategic Marketing & Planning

  • Develop a detailed plan that matches the company’s high ambition – a 2-3x increase in pipeline size over the next several years.
  • Ensure total organizational alignment around the key target market sub-segments, the plan of attack for each and the timing / sequencing of execution.
  • Develop a realistic set of resources, KPIs and performance measures required to deliver against the company’s high ambition. Establish benchmarks for key performance measures such as cost per lead acquired and conversion into sales opportunities by tactic. Identify the optimal tactical mix.
  • Establish the annual budget and manage it effectively.
  • Build and lead a phased, ongoing market research and planning initiative to ensure clear understanding of all target market segments, key buyer personas, persona pain points and needs, the buying journey, and appropriate critical information sources for key segment personas.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and product to finalize the pricing and positioning of new product integrations and bundles to maximize sales, cross-selling / up-selling opportunities, customer retention and market share.
  • Play a role in articulating the company’s growth strategy.

Brand Story

  • Develop and own the MDaudit story as it evolves.
  • Ensure brand positioning is sharp and highly differentiated vs. competition and cohesive across all channels including sales enablement, website, events, digital marketing, and other channels.
  • Develop and own evolution of a detailed messaging architecture that spells out exactly how MDaudit delivers higher value for customers, provides tangible proof points to back up its assertions and is delivered through compelling content that connects with multiple personas throughout their buyer journey.

Go-to-Market & Execution

  • Operate go-to-market as a data-driven machine, leveraging work underway to develop a robust analytics engine that provides the insights necessary to optimize media and advertising spend based on ROI rather than just simple marketing metrics (CPC, CPM, likes, shares, etc.). Be the leader on the team that ensures the data is delivering answers accurately to the right questions, evolving the analytics approach over time as conditions change.
  • Enable the sales organization with new content and pitch decks, training and robust competitive analysis. Build case studies, white papers, and buyers guides that will influence the buying process.
  • Develop strategies and tactics required to maximize the lead generation potential of the company’s participation in trade shows, conferences and virtual events including QBRs with existing clients.
  • Pay specific attention to technology review sites, a broader set of healthcare digital media publications, paid search and the evolving requirements of SEO.

Team Leadership

  • Build and develop a marketing team with strong players underneath driving Product Marketing / Upsell and Digital / Demand Generation.
  • Lead and develop the marketing team through its evolution as a mentor/guide/coach. MDaudit values extraordinary results, caring for employees, supporting team members to act like owners, transparent leadership, providing individuals with the opportunity to make a positive difference, and individuals with a passion for innovation. Support and empower the team to own their pieces of the business. The leader of this function must balance these factors to achieve optimal performance.
  • Lead agency engagements effectively by selecting the right partners, ensuring assignments align with goals, holding agencies accountable to achieve assignments, and partnering with agencies strategically to get the most value from them.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Strong in analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • 8-10 years of B2B marketing experience in the SaaS space with some healthcare exposure - driving demand generation and product marketing strategies that include messaging, sales enablement, pricing & packaging, market insights, and new product or version launches
  • 5-7 years of team management experience, with an ability to pivot between strategy, team brainstorming, and hands-on execution
  • Prior success building and leading marketing teams and experience aggressively scaling a high growth SaaS B2B business
  • Subject matter expertise in account-level SaaS marketing with an emphasis on strategy, brand positioning, performance marketing, data analytics, and sales enablement
  • Experience or gravitas to interact directly with the executive management and build relationships with the rest of the leadership team. Periodically interact effectively with the Board and members of the private equity team
  • Ability to pivot from strategy and brand development to execution optimization easily
  • A highly data-driven and metrics-focused leader with a history of implementing best in class marketing processes and systems with an effective channel mix to enable effective high growth.
  • Deep operational experience in building and scaling high performing marketing teams.
  • Background in technology solutions for healthcare is a plus
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain and motivate high performing marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to engage agency partners effectively
