Vice President of Development Opportunity at James L. West Center for Dementia Care

The James L. West Center for Dementia Care (the Center), under the leadership of President and CEO Cheryl Harding, Ph.D., is seeking to build the development program at James L. West Center for Dementia Care to help foster a culture of philanthropy while growing a diverse donor base to support the Center’s philanthropic priorities. Recognizing that a strong fund development program starts with its leadership, the President and CEO would like to hire a new Vice President of Development with the passion, drive, and skillset to support the Center's philosophy of care – providing personalized, innovative care and support for families and specialized education for caregivers, healthcare professionals and the community at large.

The Center is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader who will be responsible for all fundraising efforts, deepen its impact, and ensure the Center is positioned for future growth. The new Vice President of Development will inspire and motivate the Board of Directors and Staff to shape a strategy that accelerates innovation and progress, all while drawing on their expertise. The candidate will have the opportunity to build a program that aligns with their unique skills, strengths, and vision.

As the new Vice President of Development, the candidate will expand and diversify the Center’s relationships through major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, corporate and foundation giving, and all other efforts across Fort Worth and Tarrant Co. so that the Center can continue to meet the needs of those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and their families.

If you are a dynamic leader who is passionate about making a positive impact and you possess the skills to drive meaningful change. The salary range is $150,000 - $180,000 (Based on experience and record of accomplishment).
