The Victim Witness Coordinator provides a variety of specialized support services to primarily victims and witnesses of adult gross misdemeanor crimes involving domestic violence crimes in accordance with the Crime Victims Act of 1982, balancing team and individual responsibilities with minimal supervision and within established guidelines. Provides victim/witness notification, guidance and information about the legal and restitution processes. Answers questions pertaining to departmental functions and provides information about appropriate community resources for counseling, health and protective services, and Crime Victim’s Compensation. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).We are required by State Law to list the full salary range. As a public entity and in a union-covered position, we are required to make pay decisions based on experience, qualifications, and equity with other employees. Hiring rate typically is limited to entry to mid of the posted salary range, subject to required approvals.
