Video Editor

Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling visual stories through editing and post-production processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from educational videos to digital content, utilizing a wide range of editing tools and techniques. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in various editing software and possess a keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and storytelling.

Duties

• Edit raw footage into polished videos that align with educational objectives
• Incorporate motion graphics, visual effects, and animations to enhance video content.
• Perform photo editing and manipulation for supplementary visual content using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe InDesign.
• Collaborate with content creators, videographers, photographers, and graphic designers to ensure cohesive storytelling across multimedia platforms.
• Maintain quality control throughout the post-production process by reviewing edits for consistency, color grading, sound synchronization, and overall visual appeal.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques such as motion graphics or 3D animation to elevate content quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in video editing and post-production with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge; Final Cut Pro; Avid; Maya; Cinema 4D; Capture One; and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of photo editing, photo manipulation, graphic design, typography, videography, filming techniques, and content creation.
• Strong understanding of motion graphics, 2D/3D animation (Maya or Cinema 4D), and visual storytelling principles.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Experience working on various media formats including digital videos for social media platforms, websites, or broadcast is preferred. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
