Video Editor for YouTube Channel/TikTok

Not filming.
Not being an influencer.
Not “creating content”.

Editing.

If you enjoy taking raw footage and building a story — tightening pacing, cutting dead space, layering sound, dialing music, structuring narrative — you will love this job.

If you prefer filming, being on camera, or casually editing a few clips here and there, this will not be a good fit.

This role is for someone who can sit down with 10 hours of footage and grind until it becomes a great video.

What You’ll Be Working On

You will be the Lead Editor for content across:

1. YouTube (Long Form)
Editing videos for one of the largest outdoor YouTube channels (3 million subscribers).

Content includes:

  • Fishing
  • Hunting
  • Outdoor adventures
  • Lifestyle content
  • Brand integrations

The process is simple:

We go film.
We drop off hard drives.

You take the footage and build the story.

You’ll be provided creative briefs and story outlines, but the editor is responsible for making the video flow, engage, and perform.

2. Short Form Content

You will also lead editing across short-form platforms:

  • TikTok
  • Instagram Reels
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Paid social ads
  • Brand clips for BeefCake Jerky

This requires understanding hooks, pacing, and social media attention spans.

You should constantly be asking:

  • How do we make this more engaging?
  • How do we stop the scroll?
  • How do we increase retention?

The Environment

This is not a slow creative studio.

We move fast.

Deadlines matter.
Content matters.
Output matters.

Some days you may be working through large amounts of footage with tight timelines.

This is a high-output content environment.

Tools We Use

Preferred:

  • Final Cut Pro
  • CapCut

Acceptable:

  • Adobe Premiere

You should also be AI-forward and constantly looking for ways to improve workflow, including:

  • AI captioning
  • AI editing tools
  • automation workflows
  • motion templates
  • faster editing systems

Pay: $49,543.00 - $65,539.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Video editing: 2 years (Required)
  • Final Cut Pro: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Social media management: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Adobe Illustrator: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Videography: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Motion graphics: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Graphic design: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Capcut: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Adobe Photoshop: 2 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:
