Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) years of directly related experience may be considered. Two (2) years of full time video production experience, including experience with ENG, DSLR, and studio cameras, and experience with editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition. Frequently moves Audio/Visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for various field/studio event needs.
  • Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to submit a demo reel demonstrating their skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional (3+) years of full time video production experience, including experience with ENG, DSLR, and studio cameras, and experience with editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition. Experience with storytelling or communicating a required message through the camera and in the edit suite. Experience in a university, hospital, or other non-profit environment.

Brief Description of Duties:
Working independently or with a production team, and under the direction of the communications supervisor, the Video Production Specialist will provide technical and creative support to include filming events, news stories, promotional, and informational videos. This includes preparing studios and remote locations and handling pre and post production related duties, including editing according to the University’s approved branding.
Successful incumbent must have the ability to work with a team as well as have the ability to work with all members of the community, including students, faculty, staff, and administration.
  • Provide advanced technical and creative support as a videographer and/or video editor capacity.
  • Site survey, meet with clients, and participate in video and event planning. Prepare studio and remote locations. Perform routine production and post-production tasks. Pack, move, and store equipment.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes:
This is a part-time appointment. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
