Video Production Specialist

Nonagon Productions is a commercial video production company creating high-end video content for businesses in and around the DC area.

The Role

We’re looking for a Video Production Specialist to join us on a project-to-project basis and support the production from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can jump into different parts of the production process , from early concepts all the way through final delivery.

You’ll work closely with our team across multiple client projects, playing a key role both on set and behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with pre-production (research, scripting, concept development)
• Play flexible roles during on-site video shoots (camera, lighting, audio)
• Handle post-production editing and revisions
• Collaborate with our team and clients to bring ideas to life
• Take measures to maintain an elite standard of quality across all parts of the process

The Work Split

• 60% Editing
• 30% Pre-Production
• 10% On-site Production

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in commercial, branded, or agency-style video production
• Strong understanding of cameras, lighting, and grip equipment
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
• Solid communication skills (both with team and clients)
• Ability to stay clear headed in fast-paced, high-intensity environments
• Self-starter who can adapt quickly across different projects

Nice to Have

• Experience with Frame.io & Submagic.co
• Familiarity with Google Suite
• Additional skills in motion graphics, color grading, or sound design

Important Notes

• This is a contract / part-time role
• Work will be project-based and may be sporadic
• Ideal for someone looking for flexibility and ongoing collaboration rather than a fixed schedule

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
