Role Overview
We are looking for a Virtual Dental Assistant (Dentist) to provide remote administrative and clinical support to dental practices in the U.S. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in dentistry, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with dental practice management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists with charting, treatment planning, and documentation in practice management software.
- Support in dental coding, billing, and insurance verification processes.
- Handle patient communication, including appointment scheduling, follow-ups, recalls, and treatment reminders.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Assist with treatment plan presentations and answering patient queries regarding procedures.
- Coordinate with dental teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Provide virtual chairside assistance during tele-dentistry sessions when required.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data security standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS/DMD/DDS) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and coding.
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental) preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work in U.S. time zones (night shift).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and remote communication tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of U.S. dental insurance processes and coding (CDT codes).
- Experience in virtual or remote healthcare/dental assistance.
- Strong customer service and patient engagement skills.
