Area Visual Merchandiser
The Area Visual Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that all stores deliver a consistent, brand right visual presentation, aligned with the business guidelines. The role drives product visibility, and customer experience, while training store teams to maintain high visual standards and is responsible for auditing the visual merchandising status of the team.
Responsibilities
- Implement brand VM guidelines across all stores in the assigned area.
- Ensure all product displays, mannequins, focal tables, windows, and POS materials meet global standards.
- Execute monthly floor set changes, product launches, campaigns, and promotions.
- Maintain store layouts, space planning, adjacencies, and product zoning for optimal customer navigation.
- Ensure correct and timely setup of seasonal themes, sale periods, and in store storytelling.
- Conduct regular store visits to review display standards and operational readiness.
- Use VM checklists and compliance audits to track execution and improvements.
- Report gaps and corrective actions to the Regional VM Manager.
- Ensure stock availability, replenishment, and product density meet visual guidelines.
- Work closely with Retail Operations, Store Managers, Merchandising, and Marketing teams for campaign implementation.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for fixture availability, space planning, and VM equipment requirements.
- Align VM execution with buying plans and seasonal sell through priorities.
- Train Store Managers, Supervisors, and Sales Associates on VM standards, folding, mannequin dressing, and floor maintenance.
- Create simple VM guides and quick reference training materials.
- Support onboarding of new store staff on brand VM expectations.
- Apply VM strategies that support conversion, ATV, and sell through improvements.
- Analyze store performance and identify opportunities for high impact displays.
- Optimize product performance via zoning adjustments and feature walls.
- Support new store openings, renovations, and layout changes.
- Maintain inventory of VM props, mannequins, and fixtures.
- Ensure timely reporting and replacement of damaged fixtures.
- Support the rollout of new concepts and furniture updates.
People Management
The incumbent is responsible for setting clear objectives and performance targets in collaboration with team members, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals. This role involves actively mentoring, guiding, and providing direction to the team to cultivate skill development, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The incumbent applies structured performance management practices to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and drive the team towards achieving periodic KPIs. Through strategic oversight and regular feedback, the incumbent fosters a results oriented environment, empowering the team to meet and exceed established benchmarks while supporting both individual and collective growth.
Experience
4 years of experience in Retail Industry, handling multi site VM responsibilities.
