Voice Teacher

Torrance Arts Academy is seeking a reliable and passionate Voice Teacher to join our team of dedicated instructors. We are an established and growing academy committed to providing high-quality music education to students of all ages.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct private voice and piano lessons for students of varying skill levels and ages.

- Possibility of teaching groups of students depending on demand.

- Create and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's unique goals and abilities.

- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to inspire students to excel in their musical journey.

-Must be encouraging to students while having control over their class/lesson.

- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and suggesting areas of improvement.

- Collaborate with other instructors and academy staff to plan and execute recitals, performances, and events.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated proficiency in teaching voice lessons (both private and group) with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

- Ability to teach at least beginner level piano is a must.

- Ability to teach an instrument other than voice and piano, such as guitar, is a great advantage.

- Strong ability to effectively communicate musical concepts and techniques to students of all ages.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.

- Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic.

- Passionate about music education and committed to nurturing a love for music in students.

-Must be available to work for at least one hour per month on a Saturday.

-Must be available to attend all recitals where their students are performing.

We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time employment position with some scheduling options.

Showing a strong work ethic and commitment to teaching students in a nurturing and productive manner will yield more hours/days added to your schedule. There is room to grow and succeed here as a teacher.
