VoIP Engineer

Waada Digital is looking for a skilled VoIP Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our voice infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying and configuring VoIP systems, ensuring high availability of voice services, managing SIP integrations, and providing real-time support during operational hours. This role is critical to maintaining seamless communication across campaigns and business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain dialers, databases, and web servers supporting VoIP operations.
• Integrate and manage SIP trunks with multiple VoIP carriers.
• Handle campaign setup, user provisioning, and access management on dialer platforms.
• Manage relationships and performance of VoIP carriers, ensuring call quality and uptime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot voice-related issues, including call quality, latency, jitter, and packet loss.
• Implement and manage voice and data traffic load balancing to ensure system stability.
• Perform live issue monitoring and support during operational hours (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM).
• Analyze call logs, CDRs, and system metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Ensure system security, compliance, and regular backups.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalations efficiently.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in VoIP engineering or telephony systems.

Preferred Skills / Competencies:

• Strong experience with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, TCP/IP).
• Hands-on experience with dialer platforms (e.g., Asterisk, FreePBX, VICIdial, Genesys, or similar).
• Experience with Linux servers, databases, and web servers.
• Proven expertise in SIP trunking and VoIP carrier integrations.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including NAT, firewalls, QoS, and load balancing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a high-availability, real-time operational environment.
