Hiring Expert VICIdial / VoIP Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time
2pm to 10pm
Experience Level: 2–4 Years (Hands-on, Production Environment)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled VICIdial / VoIP Engineer to manage, maintain, and scale our voice infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring high availability, call quality, and operational stability across multiple campaigns and servers.
The ideal candidate must be able to build everything from scratch, including server provisioning, VICIdial deployment, SIP routing, carrier integrations, monitoring, and live support.
Key Responsibilities
VICIdial & Server Management
Deploy, configure, and manage multiple VICIdial servers and instances
Install and maintain dialers, databases, and web servers
Perform Linux server setup, optimization, and hardening
Manage backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery
VoIP & SIP Operations
Integrate and manage SIP trunks with multiple VoIP carriers
Configure call routing, dial plans, queues, and campaigns
Monitor and troubleshoot call quality issues (latency, jitter, packet loss)
Analyze CDRs, logs, and system metrics for proactive issue resolution
Manage carrier performance, uptime, and call quality SLAs
Configure NAT, firewalls, QoS, and load balancing for voice traffic
Optimize network parameters to ensure optimal voice quality
Implement voice and data traffic balancing across servers
Ensure high availability and scalability under increasing call volumes
Automation & Development
Write and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, Perl, or PHP
Develop AGI / API integrations for telephony automation
Build tools for monitoring, reporting, and daily operations
Automate deployment, maintenance, and monitoring tasks
Handle escalations and coordinate with internal teams and vendors
Maintain system security and compliance
Ensure continuous service availability for business operations
Required Skills & Experience
2–4 years of hands-on experience in VoIP / Telephony engineering
Strong expertise in VICIdial (mandatory)
Deep knowledge of VoIP protocols: SIP, RTP, SDP, RTCP, IAX
Strong experience with Asterisk and/or FreeSWITCH
Proficiency in Linux system administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian)
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, NAT, firewalls, QoS)
Experience with SIP proxies (Kamailio, OpenSIPS) is a plus
Hands-on experience with databases (MySQL) and CDR analysis
Experience with WebRTC and webphone integrations is preferred
Ability to troubleshoot carrier interconnections and complex VoIP issues
Experience managing cloud-based UCaaS solutions
Experience with containerized deployments (Docker-based setups)
Familiarity with Cisco voice gateways
Experience handling high-volume call center environments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a high-availability, real-time environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
