Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain VOIP solutions and telephony systems.
- Configure and support VOIP platforms (IP PBX, SIP, softphones, gateways).
- Troubleshoot VOIP-related issues including call quality, latency, jitter, and packet loss.
- Monitor system performance and ensure service availability and SLA compliance.
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Support, and Network teams to resolve issues.
- Support customers during implementation, migration, and post-deployment phases.
- Maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Ensure system security and follow best practices for VOIP environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a VOIP Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SIP, RTP, IP-PBX
- VOIP protocols and call flows
- Experience with VOIP systems such as:
- Asterisk / FreePBX / 3CX / Cisco (or similar)
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, NAT, QoS, VLANs).
- Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- English proficiency (technical communication).
Nice to Have
- Experience with ISP or IT solutions environments.
- Certifications related to VOIP or Networking.
- Experience dealing with corporate or enterprise customers.
