VoIP Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and proactive VoIP Engineer / Vicidial Specialist to manage, optimize, and scale our contact center voice infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Vicidial, SIP technologies, Linux systems, and call center telephony environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring call quality, uptime, and campaign efficiency across operations.

Key Responsibilities:Vicidial & Dialer Operations

  • Configure, manage, and optimize Vicidial (v10 / v11) environments.
  • Support inbound, outbound, and blended contact center campaigns.
  • Tune dial levels, hopper behavior, and performance settings for maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot real-time call issues including call drops, audio delays, and sound quality problems.
  • Manage SIP trunks, carriers, and interconnections to ensure stable call routing.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose SIP/RTP issues (latency, jitter, one-way audio, etc.).
  • Work with Asterisk-based VoIP systems for dial-plan and server-level tasks.
  • Integrate and support Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, or similar SIP components (preferred).

Linux & Infrastructure Management

  • Administer and maintain Linux servers (Debian, CentOS, Rocky, openSUSE, etc.).
  • Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics for stability and uptime.
  • Perform basic MySQL/MariaDB maintenance, backups, and routine database operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Vicidial, VoIP, and SIP-based telephony systems.
  • Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, and Asterisk.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux administration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot call flows, routing issues, and dialer performance.
  • Understanding of call center operations, dialer logic, and campaign mechanics.
  • Familiarity with Kamailio / FreeSWITCH / SBCs is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a contact center / VoIP service provider environment.
  • Exposure to carrier management, load balancing, and voice routing.
