VP, Marketing


Summary


The primary responsibility of the VP, Marketing is to Manage and oversee all positions within the Marketing department


Essential Functions

  • Manage and oversee all positions within the Marketing department
  • Weekly/monthly Marketing conference calls to update the team with necessary information
  • Maintain a product fact book for each product
  • Motivate the domestic sales force and international distributors
  • Collect marketing intelligence
  • Competitive benchmarks
  • Trends and opportunities
  • Customer expectations
  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Manufacturing, R&D, etc.
  • Participate in annual marketing plan and forecast development
  • Work closely with Global Marketing and its outside vendors to implement promotional strategies within budget guidelines
  • Participate in tradeshows
  • Work closely with Clinical to achieve regulatory acceptance
  • Participate on related new product development teams
  • Predict and manage competitor’s actions
  • Identify new product opportunities


Specifications of Authorities (when & where he can make a decision):


  • Manage decisions throughout the Marketing department
  • Approve and sign SOPS, work instructions, forms, regulatory and other documents related to the Marketing department.

Education and Experience Required

  • BA/BS in Marketing or Business
  • 10 + years professional marketing communications experience
  • Knowledge of syndicated advertising to PR company
  • Superior MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in department management
  • Experience working in medical device sales organization, aesthetics market is preferred
  • Experience with FDA regulated industry is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct reports and assists in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. (Add anything that may be strange about the position i.e. employee must be ok visiting medical offices)


Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Travel

This position requires 35% travel as needed.


Work Authorization

Documentation showing eligibility to work in the United States will be required.


Substitute

If the employee is not available, the manager will be the responsible party.
