Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Regulatory Horizon Scanning2. Continuously monitor and identify upcoming regulatory changes that may affect the bank.
  • Conduct regular horizon scanning for new regulations, guidelines, and financial services industry standards.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of potential regulatory changes and provide early warnings where necessary.
  • Prepare reports for senior management highlighting key upcoming regulations and regulatory changes.
  • Review of Draft Regulations7. Analyse draft regulations and provide impact assessments to ensure that the bank is aware of future regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with legal and business units to assess the implications of new and draft regulations on the bank's operations, products, and services.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the Head of Regulatory Compliance and other team members within the Regulatory Compliance team regarding regulatory changes and their potential impact.
  • Regulatory Gap Analysis11. Conduct regulatory gap analysis to assess the bank’s current compliance levels against new or evolving regulations.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance or improvement within the bank’s current policies and procedures and notify the same to the Head of Regulatory Change and Risk Management.
  • Collaborate with business units and other compliance colleagues to develop plans to address any gaps and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Initiatives Implementation15. Oversee the implementation of regulatory initiatives across the bank by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor the progress of regulatory implementation projects and report any delays or issues to the Head of Regulatory Compliance.
  • Centralised Tracking of Regulatory Projects18. Collaborate with CPMO on progress updates of their centralised tracking for all regulatory projects within the bank.
  • Ensure that CPMO adequately document and track all regulatory projects (including overdue projects and action plans) from initiation to completion.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the status of regulatory projects to senior management and Regulatory Compliance Team.
  • Overview of Regulations Tracking and Reporting22. Oversee the tracking of ongoing and upcoming regulations, ensuring that the bank is compliant with all current regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to the Head of Regulatory Compliance and other stakeholders, summarising regulatory developments, key risks, and the status of compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure that all regulatory changes are communicated clearly and promptly to the relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration on regulatory changes.
