Summary:

The Vice President – Commercial is responsible for leading the company’s overall sales strategy and driving revenue growth across Government and Corporate sectors. This role requires a seasoned commercial leader with extensive experience in high-value sales, strategic account management, and business development. The VP will oversee all sales operations, build strong client relationships, and ensure the company achieves its commercial targets while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute a robust sales strategy targeting both Government and Corporate clients.
  • Set and achieve annual sales revenue targets in line with corporate objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure large-scale contracts and strategic partnerships.

Government & Corporate Sales Leadership:

  • Lead business development initiatives to expand market share in public and private sectors.
  • Maintain high-level relationships with key decision-makers, ministries, and corporate leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement processes, regulations, and tender requirements.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for major accounts and strategic clients.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Oversee account management strategies to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Establish performance KPIs and monitor results to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a high-energy, results-oriented sales culture.

Market Analysis & Competitor Insights:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Adapt sales strategies to changing market conditions and client needs.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial leadership roles with a strong focus on sales.
  • Proven track record in securing large contracts in both Government and Corporate sectors .
  • Deep understanding of B2B sales cycles, tendering processes, and negotiation strategies.
  • Strong business network within Government and Enterprise sectors in [relevant country/region].
