Overview
The Florida Chamber Foundation Vice President, Talent Development for the Future of Work is a strategic leader who plays a vital role in advancing the Chamber's mission of securing Florida’s future by developing a skilled and adaptable workforce that meets the demands of Florida's evolving economy. This role will oversee the expansion of the Florida Talent Center, providing leadership for workforce efforts from early learning through lifelong learning, public speaking, Board stewardship, and fundraising (direct and grants.)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Florida Chamber’s subject matter expert for the full talent spectrum, including early learning, Prek-12, postsecondary education, and lifelong learning.
  • Collaborate with key workforce and talent development stakeholders (e.g. The Children’s Movement, CareerSource Florida, Florida Department of Education, Florida Department of Corrections, local chambers of commerce, community-based organizations, etc.) to identify workforce challenges and opportunities.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Florida Talent Center website, Data Hub, and resources for key stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with Business Alliance for Early Learning (BAEL) and Future of Work (FoW) Advisory Board members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to stay updated on key educational policies impacting early learning, PreK-12, postsecondary education, and lifelong learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to market the Florida Center, Business Alliance for Early Learning, and Future of Work Florida Advisory Boards and engagement opportunities for members and prospects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to utilize data analytics in assessing workforce trends, tracking effectiveness, and making informed decisions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as initiative lead for Learners to Earners Workforce Solution Summit, which includes planning event agenda topics, coordinating speakers, and collaborating with the Florida Chamber Events and Marketing team to meet event revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the Florida Chamber Marketing team to promote Florida Chamber workforce initiatives through podcasts, webinars, memos, social media posts, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Florida Chamber Foundation research team on workforce-related reports and resources.
  • Oversee implementation of workforce-related grants and special projects.
  • Provide supervisory leadership to Florida Center staff.
  • Present at Florida Chamber events, state conferences, workforce convenings, etc.

Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills (emails, memos, social media posts, proofreading).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • A high level of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
  • Passion for the organization's mission and a deep commitment to advancing the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundations 2030 Blueprint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Postsecondary degree or training in a relevant field, or work experience demonstrating the ability to positively contribute to the Florida Chamber Foundation team.
  • Prior experience in early learning, K-12, education policy, workforce development, or related experience
  • Proven track record of fundraising and donor engagement
  • Prior non-profit experience

Compensation:

  • Competitive total compensation package comprised of base salary with bonus opportunity

Pay: $98,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
