VPK Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic and personal growth. This role requires a strong commitment to student welfare and the ability to implement effective lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and assistance with standardized testing preparation.
• Ensure the well-being of students through effective childcare practices and early childhood education strategies.
• Engage students in physical education activities that promote health and fitness.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary to meet varying educational needs.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educators to support child welfare initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• Strong skills in classroom management and lesson planning.
• Experience in toddler care or early childhood education is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and child welfare practices.
• Ability to provide effective tutoring in subjects such as Math and Physical Education.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing the growth of young learners.
• DCF 40 Hour Training required
• VPK Credentials Required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
