Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their early childhood development. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to VPK standards, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote active learning, creativity, and curiosity among preschool-aged children
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized instruction plans
- Monitor and assess each child's progress using standardized testing methods and provide regular updates to parents and guardians
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that complies with all childcare regulations and standards of childhood development
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education
Skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for preschool children, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori techniques
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom management and behavior management skills
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and child welfare principles
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Ability to plan lessons aligned with state standards and incorporate innovative teaching methods such as tutoring or standardized testing preparation
- Experience with toddler care, childhood development theories, and classroom experience in private or public school environments
- Competence in teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development and overall health

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
