Job Title: VRF Technician

Location: Dubai

Job Purpose

Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air-conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Commissioning

• Install VRF indoor and outdoor units, piping, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring according to design drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform vacuum testing, leak testing, and charging of systems with refrigerant.
• Configure and commission VRF systems using OEM software/tools.
• Verify system functionality, balance refrigerant distribution, and conduct test runs.

2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of VRF systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues including cooling efficiency, refrigerant leakage, electrical faults, and sensor calibration.
• Replace or repair defective components (compressors, PCB boards, sensors, valves, etc.).
• Maintain accurate service logs and report findings.

3. Compliance & Safety

• Follow safety standards, company policies, and UAE regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of refrigerants in line with environmental standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

4. Customer Service & Teamwork

• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide technical support and training to junior technicians when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in HVAC / Refrigeration or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in VRF installation and maintenance (Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, or similar brands).
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Basic computer skills for system configuration and reporting.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on expertise in VRF troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Knowledge of refrigerants (R410a, R32, etc.) and related safety procedures.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

• Site-based role with frequent travel to project locations.
• Work may involve extended hours, outdoor environments, and high-rise buildings.
