VRS ENGINEER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) Engineer to support the planning, design, installation, and supervision of road safety barrier systems for infrastructure and highway projects under ASHGHAL. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and engineering requirements while coordinating with site and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to VRS systems
• Plan and supervise installation of vehicle restraint/barrier systems on highways and infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with ASHGHAL standards and project safety regulations
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors for smooth execution
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks for installed VRS components
• Resolve technical issues related to design and installation on site
• Prepare progress reports, technical submissions, and documentation
• Support material approval, testing, and compliance processes
• Ensure all work is completed within project timelines and quality standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or highway projects
• Knowledge of Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS), road barriers, and safety systems preferred
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects is an advantage (especially ASHGHAL projects)
• Strong technical understanding of road safety standards and construction methodologies
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under site conditions and manage multiple stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with highway safety barrier systems (metal beam crash barriers, guardrails, etc.)
• Knowledge of international road safety standards (EN, AASHTO, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or engineering design review tools
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
