Wage and Hour and Employment Paralegal

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wage and Hour and Employment Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support on wage and hour class action litigation, employment law matters, and related litigation. You will assist with case management, legal research, document review, discovery, and drafting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to justice and fairness for employees.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research on wage and hour laws and relevant case law using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools like CLIO.
  • Assist attorneys with case management by organizing files in CLIO and One Drive and other document management systems.
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, declarations, contracts, and correspondence related to employment law cases.
  • Support litigation processes by preparing exhibits, summarizing depositions, and managing document review projects.
  • Interview witnesses and clients to gather factual information for case development while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate data entry of case information into legal case management systems such as CLIO.
  • Support administrative tasks including filing in both state and federal courts, organizing case files, managing calendars for court deadlines, and providing executive administrative support as needed.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of wage and hour laws and general employment law.
  • Proven paralegal experience with strong skills in legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis and CLIO.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software such as CLIO; familiarity with document review platforms.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents; meticulous proofreading; effective transcription abilities.
  • Ability to conduct interviews professionally while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Experience supporting litigation processes from document review to trial preparation.
  • Competence in handling contracts and supporting project management initiatives within a law office setting.
  • Familiarity with legal administrative experience including filing systems, data entry accuracy, clerical tasks, and document management systems. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
