Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
• Provide expert recommendations on menu items, including drinks
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and managing tabs via OpenTable or similar reservation systems
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Buss tables promptly after guests leave, reset tables for new patrons, and maintain a clean dining environment throughout your shift.
• Engage with guests to foster positive guest relations and handle any special requests or concerns professionally

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and ensure guest satisfaction
• Prior host/hostess experience or bussing background is beneficial for understanding guest flow dynamics

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
