Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, accurate order taking, and efficient service delivery. This role requires fluency in Turkish and/or Arabic to effectively communicate with guests and enhance their dining experience. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail in maintaining service excellence.

Key Responsibilities1. Guest Service

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
  • Present menus, provide detailed information on menu items, and offer recommendations when appropriate.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during meals and addressing requests or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of service consistency and professionalism throughout the guest experience.

2. Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered on time.
  • Liaise with team members to maintain smooth service flow during peak hours.
  • Use bilingual skills (Turkish/Arabic and English) to assist and engage with diverse guests.

3. Service Standards & Cleanliness

  • Follow established service standards and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure tables, service areas, and dining spaces are kept clean and organized.
  • Assist with table setup, resetting, and clearing as per restaurant standards.
  • Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards in line with company policy.

4. Sales & Upselling

  • Promote daily specials, signature dishes, and beverages to enhance guest experience and maximize sales.
  • Suggest additional items or upgrades to guests in a courteous and professional manner.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant, café, or hotel environment (1–2 years preferred).
  • Fluency in Turkish and/or Arabic, with good command of English.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork-oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and order-taking procedures.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
