Job Summary – Waitress (Female)
The Waitress is responsible for delivering friendly, attentive, and efficient food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while upholding the hotel’s service standards and values.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables in a courteous and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain menu items, daily specials, and promotions clearly, and provide recommendations when required.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and input them into the POS system promptly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring correct presentation, portioning, and timing.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables, dining areas, and service stations before, during, and after service.
- Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset according to service standards.
- Handle basic billing procedures, present checks accurately, and follow cash handling or payment procedures as instructed.
- Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Report guest feedback, complaints, or operational issues to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Assist in restocking service items such as cutlery, glassware, napkins, and condiments.
- Adhere to grooming standards, personal hygiene requirements, and company policies.
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure seamless service.
- Attend training sessions and briefings as scheduled by management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Restaurant Manager related to service operations.
